    Station 127—more work

Filed under: Fuselage, Hull — Darryl @ 9:41 am

[2 hours] Last night I finished trimming a couple of frame pieces for the bulkhead at station 127. I’ve begun the process of gluing the frame to the web. This work will take a few days.

    Station 127 Work

Filed under: Fuselage, Hull — Darryl @ 1:49 am

[2 hours] I finished trimming the top of the station 127 bulkhead webbing. Also, I cut all of the spruce frame members for the bulkhead. I still must cut the blocking. I should be doing some gluing on the station this weekend.

    Sand blasting

Filed under: Gear, Hull — Darryl @ 1:47 am

[0.5 hours] A few days ago I sand blasted the parts for the power drive. Spent a buch of time getting my sandblaster working correctly, but that is another story.

    Back at it—Finally

Filed under: Not Building — Darryl @ 1:45 am

I spent most of a week out of town two weeks ago and then have a very busy week last week. The University of Washington autumn quarter started while I was gone, so this was catch-up week for me. Even so, I did get to work on the Coot over the last few days. I’ll post a couple of entries this evening (early morning, actually).

I’ve gotten all of the wood and fiberglassing supplies I ordered from Aircraft Spruce. I should now have all wood for the last two bulkheads (127 and 96) and all the fiberglass supplies to glass in the bulkheads.
